Description

Boris Pilnak was a writer in the early Soviet who, despite huge commercial success, ended up running afoul of the authroities and was finally executed. This volume of short stories contains his first work to bring him into conflict with the Soviet government : The Tale Of The Unextinguished Moon which was published in the premiere literary journal Novy Mir and then withdrawn because it was suspected of implicating Stalin in murder.
