Description
Yallum Park was originally squatted on in 1840 and a cottage was built the same year.
The property was then sold in 1851 and a second house was built in 1856. A garden was
established in the 1950’s which was bordered with English Elms which still stand on the
Western and Southern edge of the garden. ln 1863 the 3rd house was built by John Riddoch and the extensive and grand garden that you see today, with many rare and exotic trees as
well as a fruit garden, was planted. The 3 houses mentioned above still stand to this very
day.
